🏞️ Après le déjeuner / After lunch at 938

Après le déjeuner au 938 Eonyang Branch (vous vous souvenez de ce post ?), YJ m’a proposé d’aller prendre un café pas très loin.

After having lunch at 938 Eonyang Branch (remember that post?), YJ suggested checking out a café nearby.

On a fini par prendre un taxi pour aller à « 시하온 Sihaon », ce n’est pas super loin, mais clairement pas pratique sans voiture.

D’après YJ, c’est le café dont tout le monde parle en ce moment. ☕

We hopped in a taxi to “시하온 Sihaon”, which is pretty far from downtown Ulsan — honestly, taking a taxi is the fastest way.

YJ said it’s super popular right now.

Moi, j’étais un peu sceptique.

« On doit vraiment prendre un taxi juste pour un café ? »

I was a bit skeptical though.

“Do we really need to take a taxi just for coffee?”

Mais elle insistait :

« L’ambiance est incroyable, tu verras ! »

Alors… on y est allées. Et là, waouh.

But she kept saying,

“The vibe’s amazing, you’ll see!”

So we went, and… wow.

🌿 Le décor : un café dans la forêt / A café surrounded by nature

Le bâtiment est immense, avec un grand espace extérieur qui donne l’impression d’être en plein milieu de la forêt.

Devant le café, une montagne.

Derrière, des champs bien verts.

Tout autour, de la verdure à perte de vue.

The building was huge, with an outdoor area so spacious it felt like a café tucked away in the forest.

There’s a big mountain right in front, green fields behind, and everything surrounded by nature. 🌱

J’ai tout de suite compris pourquoi les gens faisaient le déplacement. 🌸

I instantly understood why people come all the way out here. 🌿

Comme c’était un après-midi en semaine, il n’y avait pas grand monde, donc j’ai pu prendre plein de photos tranquillement à l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur.

Since it was a weekday afternoon, the place wasn’t crowded, so I had plenty of time to take photos — inside and out.

🏺 Une expo en plein air / An outdoor art exhibition

À l’extérieur, il y avait une petite exposition de jarres de lune (달항아리 Dalhangari, /dal.han.a.li/) du céramiste Jo Seong-hyun.

Ses œuvres se fondaient parfaitement dans le paysage — simples, apaisantes, presque silencieuses.

Outside, there was a small moon jar exhibition (달항아리 Dalhangari, /dal-hang-a-ri/) by ceramic artist Jo Seong-hyun.

The pieces blended beautifully into the scenery — simple, calm, and quietly striking.

En montant au deuxième étage, pas de tables : seulement de magnifiques compositions florales.

Upstairs, there were no tables — just gorgeous floral arrangements everywhere.

J’ai lâché en riant :

« On dirait une salle de mariée ! »

I laughed and said,

“It looks like a bridal waiting room!”

Et effectivement, une employée m’a expliqué qu’ils préparaient un mariage en petit comité pour le lendemain.

And sure enough, a staff member told me they were setting up for a micro wedding the next day.

Le lieu est aussi disponible à la location pour des mariages, des anniversaires ou d’autres événements. 💐

They also rent out the space for weddings, birthdays, and other private events. 💐

☕ Le fameux « Latte au sésame » / The famous “Sesame Latte”

Côté boissons, je suis plutôt team iced americano. 😅

When it comes to drinks, I’m usually on the iced Americano team.

Mais quand je visite un endroit où je ne reviendrai sans doute pas, j’aime bien goûter leur boisson signature.

But when I visit a place I’ll probably never come back to, I always go for their signature drink.

Ici, c’était le fameux latte au sésame(참라떼, /tchamm.latte/) un mélange d’huile de sésame, de lait, de café et de crème au sésame noir. ☕

Et le goût ?

Here, it was the famous Sesame Latte(참라떼, /cham-latte/) — made with sesame oil, milk, coffee, and black sesame cream. ☕

And the taste?

Disons… surprenant. Ni bon, ni mauvais — juste un peu bizarre. 😅

Mon amie a goûté à son tour, m’a regardée avec une tête bizarre avant d’éclater de rire.

Let’s just say… unexpected. Not bad, not good — just weirdly interesting. 😅

My friend took a sip, gave me that “what did I just drink?” look, and burst out laughing.

En revanche, le sorbet au pamplemousse était délicieux ! 🍊

But the grapefruit sorbet?

Absolutely delicious. 🍊

🌸 L’espace, la lumière, la sérénité / The space, the light, the calm

Ce que j’ai préféré ?

L’espace.

Aéré, lumineux, paisible.

What I loved most was the space — wide open, bright, and peaceful.

Même les toilettes étaient impeccables !

Even the bathrooms were spotless (you know how much that matters to me 😆).

C’est un café un peu isolé, loin des circuits touristiques, mais je voulais quand même vous en parler, au cas où vous passeriez dans le coin. 🌿

It’s a bit tucked away, far from any tourist spots,

but I wanted to tell you about it anyway — just in case you ever find yourself nearby. 🌸
