Et pourtant, ce n’est plus si surprenant.

Au fait, il y a un centre de santé public à cinq minutes à pied de chez moi.

Je vois, tous les matins, qu’il y a beaucoup de gens faisant la queue pour subir un test PCR du coronavirus.

À bien y penser, la dernière fois que j’ai posté, c’était déjà il y a plus de 8 mois.
C’est triste que nous vivions toujours à l’ère de la Covid-19.

Ça dure trop longtemps.

Mais ce qui est encore plus triste, c’est que cela ne semble même plus étrange, cette situation. 😥

On dirait que c’est une période encore plus difficile pour les personnels médicaux.

Je ne peux même pas imaginer à quel point c’est difficile pour eux.

Surtout qu’on n’en connaît pas la fin.

J’espère que l’on pourra retrouver notre vie d’avant très bientôt !

Every morning, I see a lot of people lining up to get a PCR test for the coronavirus.

Thinking about it, the last time I posted was already over 8 months ago.

It’s sad that we’re still living in the era of Covid-19. It’s been going on for too long.

But what’s even sadder is that this situation doesn’t even seem strange anymore. 😥

It seems like an even harder time for healthcare workers.

I can’t even imagine how tough it is for them, especially with no end in sight.

I hope we can return to our old lives very soon!

Now, back to the traditional market,

Il n’y a pas longtemps, j’ai visité un marché traditionnel.

Là, j’ai entendu une dame âgée (commerçante) discuter avec une autre dame.

Quand j’ai entendu ce mot sortir de la bouche de celle-là, j’ai ri intérieurement.

C’était le mot « 보골나다 /bo.gol-la.da/ » (=être vexé.e).

Et je me suis dit immédiatement :

« Oh, il faut que j’écrive ça sur mon blog. »

Ma grand-mère disait ce mot quand j’étais petite, mais je l’avais complètement oublié !

Not long ago, I visited a traditional market.

There, I heard an elderly woman (a vendor) talking with another woman.

When I heard this word come out of her mouth, I laughed to myself.

The word was “보골나다 /bo.gol-la.da/” (= to be offended).

And I immediately thought:

“Oh, I have to write about this on my blog.”

My grandmother used to say this word when I was little, but I had completely forgotten about it!

In the Gyeongsang Province regions, including Busan, people also say “보골나다 /bo.gol-la.da/”.

« 보골난다 /bo.gol.lan.da »

(verbe conjugué au présent -나다 /na.da/→-난다 /nan.da/) pour dire « Je suis faché.e ».

(verb conjugated in the present -나다 /na.da/ → -난다 /nan.da/) to mean “I’m angry.“

On dirait que ça se prononce différemment selon les régions, et ça, c’est le charme d’un mot patois ! :

« 보글난다 /bo.geul.lan.da/ » ou « 보굴난다 /bo.gul.lan.da/ »

Il est principalement utilisé par les personnes âgées, et je ne pense pas avoir jamais entendu des personnes de mon âge dire comme ça. 😀

Je trouve la prononciation de ce mot trop mignonne.

Je ne sais pas si vous (non-Coréens) le trouvez aussi.

Je sais bien que la personne qui dit ce mot le dit avec colère ! 😂😅

It seems that the pronunciation can vary depending on the region, and that’s the charm of a dialect word!

For example: “보글난다 /bo.geul.lan.da/“ or “보굴난다 /bo.gul.lan.da/“

It is mainly used by older people, and I don’t think I’ve ever heard people my age use it. 😓

I find the pronunciation of this word really cute.

I’m not sure if you (non-Koreans) find it the same way.

I do know, however, that when someone uses this word, they’re definitely speaking out of anger! 😓

Quand j’entends ce mot, ça me rappelle l’onomatopée « 보글보글 /bo.geul.bo.geul/ » !

J’ai entendu une fois qu’il y avait beaucoup de mots onomatopées en coréen, et ça m’a un peu surprise.

Je croyais qu’il y en avait autant dans d’autres langues.

Alors, je rassemblerai des mots onomatopées et je vous ferai savoir quand j’en aurai l’occasion. =)

When I hear this word, it reminds me of the onomatopoeia “보글보글 /bo.geul.bo.geul/ “!

I once heard that there are a lot of onomatopoeic words in Korean, and it surprised me a bit.

I thought there were just as many in other languages.

So, I’ll gather some onomatopoeic words and let you know when I get the chance. =)
